Orientation and Training of Key Functionaries of 6 DSSS on Safeguarding Policy, Code of Conduct and complaint redressal mechanism
The orientation and training programs held on March 11-12, 2024, in Patna (BWDS), on March 19-20, 2024, in Muzaffarpur (MDSSS) and on April 12-13, 2024 in Buxar aimed to educate participants on safeguarding principles. Key functionaries of both organizations were well-oriented about drafting policy and all seven standards during the training. The sessions covered topics such as the definition and scope of safeguarding, reasons for its importance, and responsibilities regarding reporting and prevention of misconduct. Attendees also learned about prohibited conduct, mandatory reporting, and the establishment of reporting channels. The programs facilitated discussions on challenges and best practices, with participants encouraged to incorporate safeguarding standards into their operations and create action plans for implementation. Overall, the programs were successful in increasing awareness and commitment to safeguarding principles among participants, fostering a safer environment within their organizations.
