RF level Advance Training of Diocese and Partners staff on Network building on Child rights and Skill development
The two-day Regional Forum level advance training at Sewa Kendra, held on October 2nd and 3rd, 2023, was aimed at enhancing the capacity of diocesan and partner staff in network building, child rights, and skill development. Led by Mr. Tarkeshwar Singh, the training covered various aspects, including understanding vulnerable children, the Juvenile Justice Act, and differentiating between children in need of care and protection and those in conflict with the law. The second day delved into topics such as the Special Juvenile Police Unit, adoption processes, and child care institutions. The training concluded with a vote of thanks from Mr. Prashant Chandra, expressing gratitude to all participants and organizers. Recommendations included regular capacity-building workshops, increased collaboration between NGOs and government officials, and advocating for specialized training for grassroots-level officials. The way forward includes establishing working groups and task forces for ongoing planning, monitoring, and implementation of strategies.
